Pre-repair
Pre-repair checks
Before repairing, identify the vehicle type (HEV, PHEV, BEV, or MHEV) and follow the car manufacturer’s guidelines. Evaluate risks such as battery damage, fire indicators, or fluid leakage, and ensure safe temperatures using a thermal camera or IR thermometer. Repairs must only proceed if all parameters are within range; otherwise, notify qualified personnel.
During repair
Safe painting & drying
Before starting, ensure the battery temperature is below 30°C (86°F) and charge is above 45%. Remove the key to prevent accidental activation. During repairs, maintain battery temperature below 60°C (140°F) for at least 45 minutes and use low-bake processes. Only qualified personnel should perform assembly.
After repair
Assembly & handover
Complete the repair by ensuring the battery is properly charged and the vehicle is fully prepared for safe and efficient handover to the customer.
