SpeedArt: a new non sand process that improves productivity in bodyshops
Saving time and increasing the efficiency has become increasingly important for Bodyshops. R-M has now launched a new non sand process, that helps customers to meet these targets. The name: SpeedArt.
Bodyshops have used the same process for the past 25 years in order to paint a new factory panel: First you sand the panel (which can be slow and difficult, particularly when it comes to the inside of the bonnet or door). Then you apply EXTRASEALER, leaving it to flash off in the booth and apply the topcoat. This takes into account that drying times and energy consumption has been considerably reduced over the years, now taking 20 minutes at 20°C.
This process already saves time and effort, by eliminating the need to sand the primer before topcoating, but this still isn’t the perfect solution, as it requires preliminary sanding of the new panel, along with energy-consuming drying.
