The fascination of the motor car rests to a large part on its paint finish and in particular on the colour choice. Depending on the colour, one and the same model may strike you as elegant, sporty or youthful. R-M’s high-quality calendar for the year 2007 addresses this theme and its very special appeal – as a brief survey of the four seasons.

The two previous editions of this wall calendar – equally lavish in design – were eagerly collected by bodyshop personnel. For us that was reason enough to continue with this concept for 2007 and to add further sophistication. When it came to choosing the new motifs, the focus was moved away somewhat from purely technical aspects to people.

The four seasons and their translation into colours make up the colourful thread running through this calendar printed on high-quality paper. Starting with the cover and the new, double page overview of the entire year to the individual page for each month. This production, developed exclusively for R-M, comprises five languages, namely English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. Measuring 30 x 30 cm, and 60 x 30 cm when unfolded on the wall, a new, even more eye-catching format was chosen for this year.

The structure of the pages is similar from one month to the next, although the focus each time is on different colours which represent the various seasons: starting out with a cool shade of silver, taking in radiant spring colours before changing to warm summer reds. Each month we have included a theme page featuring core terms including “Freshness”, “Comfort” or “Vitality”. In each case it is a reflection of the fascination which the motor car exercises on people. With plenty of human touch, these monthly pages also appeal to the eye at an emotional level.

The R-M Calendar 2007 showcases the latest models from a wide range of carmakers. Presenting this colourful automotive diversity was a genuine challenge for graphic artists and printers alike. The result is truly impressive: an exclusive companion for the year 2007 with a quality of colour reproduction that is highly realistic and at the same time emotionally appealing.
