Two Audi TTs in a coat of CARIZZMA sweep visitors off their feet at Automechanics 2009 in Riga
Dynamic duo takes Baltic countries by
storm
Riga. Paris, London, Dubai
and Essen will never be the same ever since the two Audi TTs, clad in glossy
finishes from CARIZZMA, appeared at the car show capitals. And it was no
different in Riga, Latvia, where the snazzy cars mesmerized visitors at the
recent Automechanics 2009 trade show. CARIZZMA is a product line for car tuning
from R-M®, a BASF Coatings’ paint brand.
The two colorfully refinished sports cars featured at the booth of the Latvian
paint company RG GRUPA, R-M importer, are aptly named “Hot Rod” and “Nascar”
and vividly demonstrated the wide range of individual CARIZZMA colors. It was
RG GRUPA’s first appearance with R-M at the famous car show, which has taken
place in the Latvian capital on a yearly basis since 2000.
“Never seen such tastefully refinished cars"
“The two cars refinished with CARIZZMA were the number one attraction on
all four show days,” said Santa Peizuma, director of RG GRUPA, expressing her
satisfaction. The two sleek cars were among the quartet of sports cars that
celebrated their successful debut at R-M’s booth at the Paris Tuning and Racing
Show in February 2008. Automotive designer Gerry Blyenberg, inspired by the
major tuning styles Dub Style, Low Rider, Hot Rod and Nascar, had used CARIZZMA
to refinish the four Audi TTs.
At the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga, the Latvian visitors
were particularly smitten by "Hot Rod" and "Nascar." “Many of
them told us that they had never seen such tastefully refinished cars
before," Peizuma said.
CARIZZMA to be launched on the Latvian market
Some 35,500 auto mechanics, bodyshop owners and car tuners learned about
car tuning, car parts and car repair tools at Automechanics 2009. The
exhibitors, 106 in all, were from the Baltic countries, Russia, Poland,
Belgium, France and Germany. This year’s show took place at the same time as
the show Transport and Logistics 2009 (held for the fifth time) and the Riga
International Motor Show.
Jean-Pierre Pattou, R-M’s export manager for Latvia, is already looking ahead.
“R-M's appearance at RG GRUPA’s booth was outstanding, and the CARIZZMA
products attracted all kinds of attention. We now anticipate that we can
successfully launch CARIZZMA on the Latvian market.”
Riga wasn’t the last stop for the Audi TTs for 2009. In September, they will be
supporting the launch of CARIZZMA in Switzerland in their role as
“ambassadors."
