R-M launches CUSTOMCLEAR CP, the ultimate in UV protective clearcoats

The popularity of R-M’s CARIZZMA custom paints has grown far beyond the expectations of many bodyshops as a growing number of car owners, not just the motoring enthusiasts like customisers and tuners, look for that extra bit of individuality that will make their car stand out from the crowd.
With the growing number of cars receiving the CARIZZMA treatment, R-M has launched a new, super high quality clearcoat specifically designed to provide the highest level of UV protection.

This high quality clearcoat delivers the rapid process times R-M users have come to expect with a simple two coat application with a three minute flash off required between coats.CUSTOMCLEAR CP is fully dry in 30 minutes at 60°C, alternatively, it can be dried using short wave infra red in just 8 minutes or in 10-12 minutes using medium wave infra red.

Although CUSTOMCLEAR CP offers excellent gloss from the gun with superb levelling, it can also be polished, which is particularly important for those customers that require a show finish.This fully compliant product is very simple to use with the standard 3 : 1 : 1 mixing ratio using standard H420 hardener and SC 850 thinner. Designed specifically with the R-M CARIZZMA user in mind, this brilliant clear provides bodyshops with a product that is simple to use and offers better fade resistance.
