1919 - Company Rinshed- Mason set up in Detroit (USA).

1926 - First automotive paint batch for Cadillac


1927  - First UV resistance tests in Florida

1931 - Launch of first metallic colours

1948  - Launch of first Tintometer

1963  - First establishment outside USA: R-M France is created

1968  - Setup of first training center in Clermont de l’Oise.

1981  - R-M answer to repair easily metallic clear over base: DIAMONT line

1985  - Launch of SOLO: the real HS line with its own colour tool: Tintoguide

1986  - Integration in the BASF Group

1990  - European organisation in Clermont de l’Oise

1994  - QUARZ the complete system for trucks and commercial vehicles

1995  - Official presentation of the new product offer/R-M services
          - First step of the  «Global Answer» R-M offers a solution
            for ecological requirements

1996  - R-M net, the first website with colour formula available 24 hours a day

1998  - Colortronic: R-M colour lab in your bodyshop

1999  - CRYSTAL BASE : higher concentration, less stock, more profitability.
          - Launch of Colormaster 2, last one generation of color tool adapted to current
            automotive park.

2000  - Launch of Programmes For Success, innovative service package specially 
            developed for managers which consists of a series of modules guaranteed to help them increase their        
            productivity and sales.
          - Launch of  Color Explorer CD which enables the painters to get all the colour
            information they need

2001 - Launch of the new EXTREME COLORS line that
           continuously changes colour as the light and
           angle of vision changes. 
         - Updating of Color Explorer CD including Sm@rt Sc@le
           software, which thanks to the connection of the
           bodyshop PC to a standard electronic scale,
           via a simple cable, enables the painter to weigh   
           the formula components of any colour.

2002 - Set up of a new corporate communication.
         - 1er best painter contest organized at international level.
         - Launch of  Color Moto : a new guide, designed for motorcycle repair.

2003  - Adaptation of internet site design at the new corporate image.

2004  - Launch of Shop Master : new software for optimising
            performance and  profitability of the  bodyshop.
